A Rapidly-Growing Market

The potential revenues from the betting market around eSports far surpass its regular revenues. This is the same in all sports; the NFL generated around $50 Billion USD in betting against its regular revenues of $13 Billion USD last year.

Research firm Eilers & Krejcik Gaming has forecast that the global eSports betting market would reach $6.7 Billion USD in 2018, and possibly attain new heights in 2020 by reaching $13 Billion USD.

eSports betting is already a very large market and is poised to grow rapidly in the next five years.

Just as with any other sport, bets are placed on the various outcomes in the competitions.
